The Minimax ME 40T is an automatic edgebander that offers an exceptional blend of flexibility for both thin and thick edges. It is designed to fill the gap between traditional smaller and midsize edgebanders for woodworkers. The machine can handle melamine edges, PVC and ABS up to 3mm, and wooden strips up to 5mm. The Minimax ME 40T is an affordable, compact machine, perfect for the U.S market. It also comes with a pre-mill, giving it an edge over other machines in the market.

Features:

• Control system: The operator-friendly control system, positioned at the edgebander’s front, simplifies the operations. Functions, including operating unit switching on/off, maintenance guidance, diagnostics, etc., are easily accessible through a PLC unit.
• Track feed system: The Minimax ME 40T incorporates an efficient track feed movement mechanism to produce a flawless finish devoid of transfer marks. It also ensures high productivity with its fast feed speed of 9 meters/min and has a panel position tracking system enabled by an encoder.
• High-frequency motors: High-frequency motors on the end cutting and in-line trimming units reduce vibrations and improve reliability, precision, and optimally finish applied edges over the machine’s lifespan.
• Dual diamond cutterhead pre-milling unit: The twin 80mm diameter diamond tools with a timed, opposing rotation help correct panel imperfections, ensuring a clean edge and good lineal finish. It also allows for vertical adjustments of the tools even during the final sharpening phase with four levels of removal (0.5, 1, 1.5, and 2mm).
• – Interchangeable and additional glue pot unit: The Minimax ME 40T features an interchangeable glue pot with a quick heat-up system that efficiently applies the glue. An additional spare glue pot is included as standard equipment.
• Top and Bottom trim unit: The machine provides excellent edge finishing, with rotating copy wheels reducing trimming marks and vibrational effects. The thickness of the edge is easily adjustable.
• Special end-cutting unit with “Radius” function: This station rounds off critical edge angles. Its high-frequency motor runs at 12,000 rpm, ensuring a fine finish.
• Edge and Glue Scrape units, and Buffing unit: These units are designed to give an excellent finish for 3mm PVC/ABS edges. The robust structure of the scraping unit eliminates excess glue on the panel or the edge joint, maintaining a chatter-free finish.
